We've added 3 new shoes to our lineup for the summer. Dates are filling up fast and we're pumped to offer the first details of these shows for all the loyal listeners. June 29th we'll be heading back to the Hertel Lounge for a FREE, no cover event to mark IronMic's 21st birthday. With performances from Spec-Ill K and hosted by none other than Keith Concept, come out to help Mike kick off his best year yet - Prime Example style. Oh, and if you buy him a beer I don't think he'll complain.
For July, we're looking at Type:Relevant's album release party at Nietzsche's on Allen slated for July 11th. There will be performances from other Buffalo emcees to be announced in the coming weeks, so keep checking back as we add this info. Finally, July 20th we're headlining one of Central Park Grill's Summer Music Series events at 2519 Main St in Buffalo with DJ Optimus Prime on the 1's and 2's.

We're headed back to DBGB's at 253 Allen Street in Buffalo for the #RapperProblems tour featuring: Dao Jones, Airline Jay, A.M.J., Austin, Nick Lyon. Local Buffalo, NY acts Natural Ingredients and Blackbelt Jones will be appearing alongside Prime Example for a night of unforgettable hip-hop.
This event is 21+ and $5 at the door. Presented by Act Live! in association with Nickel City Records and Duke's Bohemian Grove Bar, the #RapperProblems tour promises to leave an impression on downtown Buffalo with a cheap night of live music and good drinks.
On Saturday, May 18th, we'll be joining Koolie High, Dr. Ooo, EVC and more on stage at THE VAULT for The Spotlight Series! This is an all-ages event and will begin at 9PM. Admission is $7 at the door. This is a show you will not want to miss; we fully expect to get very live at this one of a kind Buffalo venue.

We're announcing another new show today, and we've got more in the works! On Friday May 3rd, we'll be joining some of Buffalo's greatest: Thrice Third, DJ Optimus Prime, There Goes The Neighborhood, Shut Eyes, Mic Excel, our labelmates Koolie High, and MANY more.
This is a Buffalo showcase event featuring graffiti artists, breakdance, live hip-hop, and other artistic expressions. We're excited for a change of scenery and to get some time to spend it with other local hip hop heads we've grown up listening to. Make sure you come down and check it out!

We're pumped to announce another live show, with a teaser that we have several coming up in the pipeline. This show will be at The Hertel Lounge once again, on April 27, 2013. That's a Saturday, so clear your schedules and bring a couple extra bucks. We'll be selling Prime Example BIC lighters - a little something you can actually use - for just $2.00 each. Thanks to Paypal and technology, we'll also be accepting all major credit cards in addition to cash. For this show, we're bringing along our close friend DJ Optimus Prime spinning some true hip hop throughout the night, and our new labelmates KooLie High to start the night off right. Hertel Lounge was a blast on Thursday night, we really got live with y'all in there. The house was packed, the drinks were flowing, and Natural Ingredients lit the stage up with a hot set before we closed the show down. DJ Chuck Fee kept y'all entertained in between and Nickel City Records was in the house with t-shirts showin' mad love. As of Saturday afternoon, Prime Example is officially signed to Nickel City Records! They're an independent label based in downtown Buffalo, NY and setting their eyes on changing the scene. We're happy to join the team already consisting of KooliE High, Natural Ingredients, Brett Michael, BIG T the MC, and producers Jace Beats and Jake Freeman! We're stacking the team and you can expect our next wave is coming soon.
We're thrilled to announce another show right in our own neighborhood! The Hertel Lounge, 1669 Hertel Avenue, Buffalo, March 14th, 2013 at 10PM! 21+ with valid ID, NO COVER, and plenty of cheap drinks to get the good times flowing. Come early for some intro spins by resident DJ, DJ Chuck Fee, followed by some flavor from our friends Natural Ingredients. We'll be hitting the stage and keeping you chill the rest of the night!
We had a great time on Friday night at The Forvm in Amherst, NY. We saw a lot of familiar faces and we're glad y'all keep coming out to check out our live set. It was great to share the stage with our friends Type:Relevant once again, as well as some other local artists. To your left you'll find a performance of our very first track, "Bringin' It Back", set to a revamped beat by Buffalo's own Thrice Third.
We're looking to book more shows in the coming weeks and months. In addition, keep your eyes peeking back as we're hoping to announce some merchandise to be available soon.
To your left, you'll find a direct link to a live performance from our last show on December 15 at The Tudor Lounge in Buffalo. This track is one of our latest, "The Take Off", off of the Modern Marvels EP. We're thankful for everyone that took the time out of their pre-Christmas plans to head out to Franklin St and catch our live hip hop flavor. We were fortunate enough to share the stage with our good friends Type:Relevant and also got to perform every single track off of our EP.
Next up: We're at The Forvm in Amherst, NY in the Toni Pepperoni/AMC Theater's plaza on Maple Road on January 25th. Tickets are $10, available either via Pre-Sale (you can hit us up on Twitter, Facebook or via our contact page to request tickets) or they will also be sold at the door for the same amount. We know it's a steep price tag, but you'll be getting shuffled performances all night long featuring a handful of other acts, including our boys Type:Relevant. Come on out and support!
Tonight (or this morning, I guess!) we're proud to announce we've released our debut EP, "Modern Marvels"! We're so proud of what we've been able to accomplish in a little under a year. We're excited to finally be able to present to you our first single from our debut EP Modern Marvels, "Superhero". We filmed the video during steve0bvious' birthday weekend in October. It was a lot of fun and thanks for everyone who came out to help our brother celebrate, you're well represented throughout the video.

Thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday night at DBGB's downtown on Allen St. We helped raise some money for our friend Eugene Pixley's medical costs, and we got many of Buffalo's hip hop legends together in one place to put on a great show. We were honored to share the stage with producers and emcees we take influence from in our own music. It truly was a night to remember. Video from our performance of "12 Til Infinity", remixed by the one and only A.L. Third, also known as Thrice Third, will be posted to the shows section in the next few days. We celebrated steve0bvious' birthday this weekend, and also had the opportunity to get in a video shoot for our lead single off of the upcoming EP, Modern Marvels - "Superhero". We can't wait to release our first music video and get the EP to all of your loyal ears.

We're happy to announce another opportunity to catch us live! On Saturday, November 3rd, we'll be joining our friends Tone @tlas, Ajent O, A.L. Third, Covert, Specill K, and more on stage at DBGB's for their producer showcase. There is a $5 cover, but proceeds are going straight to help medical costs of our friend Eugene Pixley of Lancaster, NY. Come out, hear some of Buffalo's best live hip hop, and support an amazing cause at the same time. We definitely hope everyone can come out!
In addition, toward the end of the night there will be an opportunity for open mic. If you think you have what it takes to step up and spit it with these guys, come on out and give it a shot!

First of all, a big thank you goes out to everyone who came out to Nietzsche's on Allen this past Thursday. We had a hell of a time playing for all of you, and we couldn't be more proud to share the stage with some of our friends and collaborators. Big thank you to Buffalo's own DJ Optimus Prime for coming by and cutting it up live during our show. We loved having Ideal of our friends Natural Ingredients in the house and hopping up on stage to lay down our track "Critical Levels" for everyone down on Allen. Other big thank yous to Curt, Mason, Keith Concept, Type Relevant, and Second Trip for making the show as great as it was!
